Management
The department
provides management majors with what they need in today's
global environment: a solid educational foundation in
international, ethical, legal, and technological environments.
Students study the concepts and theories of solving
organizational problems, including integrating the functional
areas of the organization toward common goals, and dealing
with employees as the business environment and society
change.

Students explore the theory and practice of management,
so that they are prepared for planning, organizing,
controlling, and leading in a variety of fields and
corporate settings. Classroom exercises and discussions
provide them with insights into the value and challenges
of cultural diversity in the workplace, and the need
for businesses to be socially responsible citizens of
a larger community.
Students gain working knowledge and hands-on experience
through internships. Job opportunities for management
majors exist in a wide range of business, government,
and not-for-profit organizations, in human resources,
retail management, banking, finance, health care, and
other fast-growing industries. |
